20th Anniversary of the Autism Speaks Celebrity Golf Challenge

Friends and supporters gathered at Winged Foot in Mamaroneck, NY for the annual Autism Speaks Celebrity Golf Challenge. Now in its 20th year, the event featured golf, shoot-outs, cocktails and more—all in the name of making a difference. The support and involvement at Winged Foot directly helps to advance the mission of Autism Speaks—and though the organization has made strides in making autism part of the conversation and advancing real science for real solutions, there is still more work to be done. In fact, as was said at the event, the CDC recently released a report citing that autism now affects an estimated 1 in 59 children—a 15 percent increase from two years previous. Events like the Celebrity Golf Challenge—which was co-chaired by Curtis Arledge, Kevin and Susan Murray—support the organization, and make it possible for Autism Speaks to create a more open global community that embraces the unique abilities of each individual and provides a diverse range of solutions and support to enable all those with autism to live their best life possible.
