Art to the Avenue Supports Greenwich Arts Council’s Outreach Programs

The annual Art to the Avenue festival in Greenwich, CT, is displaying the work of 120 different artists at 90 retail stores on Greenwich Avenue through May 30. Nearly 5,000 art enthusiasts have come to view the exhibits so far, strolling up and down the Avenue to visit participating stores and browse the art for sale. Thirty percent of the sale price from each artwork goes toward funding the Greenwich Arts Council’s outreach programs. On the festival’s opening night, May 5, participating shops held public receptions with food and wine to introduce the exhibiting artists and their work, while street performers created a festival-like atmosphere. Art to the Avenue has been a part of the Greenwich community since 1998, mixing commerce and culture
