CancerCare’s 10th Annual Fairfield Walk/Run for Hope Raises More Than $60,000

More than 300 people came to Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT, to support cancer patients and loved ones for CancerCare’s 10th Annual Fairfield Walk/Run for Hope. The event took place on September 11 and raised more than $60,000 for CancerCare, a nonprofit with a base in Norwalk, CT, providing emotional, financial and practical assistance for people impacted by cancer. Susan Smirnoff and Team Smirnoff were the event’s highest individual and team fundraisers. Omar Sawtos and Audrey Carroll took top place in the USATF certified and sanctioned 5K run. This year’s event also featured a kids’ fun run, games and, and arts and crafts.
