The Costume Bash at Katonah Museum of Art

The Katonah Museum of Art (KMA) held its Costume Bash Dance Party on Friday the 13th in support of its diverse exhibition and education programs. Its goal is to energize the Katonah and Westchester community through a constructive exchange of art and ideas. The evening was hosted by two beloved Katonah friends and supporters, Casey Carter of Bijou Jewelry and Melissa Dilmaghani of Old New House. Says Carter, “I hosted this fundraiser to support the museum in its efforts to bring amazing arts to our community and to get a new wave of creative people in and have fun while doing it! It was a huge success because of the supportive community we live in and everyone involved.” The event began with an exclusive VIP hour with entertainment including a snake charmer, tarot card and palm readers, as well as a private sneak peek of its newly opened exhibition Object Out Loud: Arman and Nick Cave, led by Executive Director, Darsie Alexander. The festive dance party had a DJ, ingenious and outrageous costumes, devilish delights by The Whitlock, and copious cocktails. The KMA’s outdoor campus was transformed into a craft beer garden with fire pits blazing and s’mores galore.
