Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Focus on a Cure Gala

The Connecticut/Westchester Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation hosted its Focus on a Cure Gala at Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY on November 13, 2021. Nearly 200 guests attended an exceptional evening of mission speeches, silent auction, and entertainment by mentalist Matt Cooper.  Over six hundred thousand dollars was raised which will go towards education and research to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Longtime supporter Tommy Hess (Scarsdale, NY) chaired this annual event, and the Foundation was thrilled to honor Wendi and Ira Silverman and Family (Chappaqua, NY); Rising Star Chase Simon (Scarsdale, NY); and 2021 Doctor of the Year, Marvin A. Chinitz, MD (New Rochelle, NY).

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation has invested over $400 million in research to improve treatments and find cures. They provide support, information and resources for the estimated 3.1 million IBD patients and their families.
