Greenwich Land Trust Makes Its Mark on Earth Day

On Saturday, April 23, volunteers for Greenwich Land Trust celebrated Earth Day in the greenest way possible: by rolling up their sleeves and gardening at GLTโ€™s American Chestnut Sanctuary at Burning Tree Road in Greenwich, CT. Those participating helped beautify the sanctuary by planting native flowers and trees, removing invasive weeds and taking part in a wildlife release with the nonprofit animal welfare organization, Wildlife in Crisis. Whole Food Market in Greenwich, CT, provided lunch for all volunteers.[envira-gallery id="10199"]
