On Friday June 9th, the Katonah Museum of Art held it’s spring benefit was called Food Wine Art Love. The benefit was the key fundraiser for the Museum’s exhibition and education programs. The gala was chaired by the Museum’s newest Board of Trustee member, Kathy Abbott. The extravaganza of food and wine was curated to fete legendary honoree, John Crabtree, one of Westchester’s most beloved culinary figures. John is best known for his famed Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua, but his newer venture in Tarrytown, RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen, is also receiving rave reviews as a hybrid high-end eatery and farmer’s market nestled along the Hudson River. The evening commenced with a VIP cocktail hour and mingling with the Museum’s Executive Director, Darsie Alexander, followed by dinner and dancing under the stars for a fun filled evening on the museum’s campus. The Katonah Museum of Art originates three to four exhibitions annually, covering a broad range of art and humanities topics.
