Light The Night in Fairfield County Raises Money to Fight Blood Cancers

light the night fairfield

Survivors, families and supporters enjoyed a tremendous night at the 2018 Light The Night in Fairfield County. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night campaign raises funds to help improve the lives of those with blood cancers, and funds research to find a cure for these types of cancer, as well as to providing advocacy and patient funding. Originally scheduled to be held at Calf Pasture Beach, the event was moved to Sono Field in Norwalk, CT on account of the weather. Jean (Gia) Bonenfant was the event’s honored hero: Last year, Bonenfant lead her team, Gia’s Bunnies, but soon after lost her battle with blood cancer. Gia’s Bunnies came in first for fundraising at this year’s walk. Fairfield Light The Night is well on its way to reaching its 2018 goal of raising $500,000.
