Pathways held its annual Gala on September 9th in nautical style aboard The Atlantis yacht, launching from the Delamar Hotel in Greenwich, CT. On a beautiful night for boating, over 250 guests came to celebrate and support this incredible local cause that supports adults with severe and chronic mental illness. It was a record year of donations and outpouring of generosity, allowing for continued success housing and caring for 38 clients in 4 Greenwich homes owned by Pathways. Funds raised will also go towards Pathways’ important outreach and fellowship programs; the social work team that supports many Greenwich residents suffering with mental illness; and families seeking support as caretakers for their loved ones.
Pathways Founder, Renee Bigler, spoke and introduced this year’s Honoree, Margie Warwick, thanking her for over 33 years of service and dedication. Margie’s leadership has helped bring Pathways to where it is today, leading its clients towards a more stable, healthier way of life. Margie’s speech highlighted a Pathways client and his sister who were both in attendance, speaking to the incredible strength of the Pathways community that fosters healing and recovery.
Popular live auction items included a weekend stay for four in a coveted Signature Suite at The Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI, and a week stay for six at the luxurious Lodge at Jackson Hole, WY. The Client Needs Auction was also a success as guests made donations specific to client needs, such as pairs of sneakers ($75), summer camp at Camp Conri ($250), beds ($500), and painting bedrooms ($1000).
