Pathways hosted their annual Lobsterfest at Greenwich Window Treatments with delicious lobster and fixings served by Fjord Fisheries. This was a kick-off event for their annual gala which will be held at the Shenorock Shore Club in Rye, NY.
“One out of 4 people will experience some sort of mental illness in their lifetime,” says Florence M. Griffin, Executive Director of Pathways, Inc. “The funds raised from the event will help those who suffer with a severe, prolonged mental illness by providing safe affordable housing, a day rehab program with client centered activities and a social work program with people who really care.”
The fun-filled event had creative cocktails, a full dinner and dancing. The live auction included a trip to a Dude ranch in Wyoming; a Miami Weekend with tickets to a Miami Dolphin game; a Jackson Hole Wyoming Condo for one week; and Margin Street Inn in Westerly, RI which is the newly renovated luxury inn owned by the same owner as the Ocean House.
Three people were honored including: Katrina Camera, ESQ. who is conservator for many of their clients; and Peter Zimmerman, staff member for 18 years who recently retired; and board member, Don Marchand, ESQ. who has helped with many legal matters.
Current fundraising efforts will focus on building a new rehab center.
