Pineapple Classic 5K Helps Three Worthy Charities

It was a chance to get silly and make some serious strides toward change as participants came out clad in hula skirts or bunny ears to take on this year’s Pineapple Classic, a 5K and obstacle course held at Conyers Farms in Greenwich, CT. This year’s event benefited Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, City of Hope at the Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplantation Institute and Educating Haiti, a nonprofit aimed at building a K-12 school in St. Marc, Haiti. The Hawaiian-themed obstacle course ended with a post-race luau, including live entertainment and a beer garden. One hundred percent of every dollar raised by participants goes to the event’s three selected charities.
