Puppies Behind Bars Holds Cocktail Party to Raise Awareness For War Veterans

It was an evening of cocktails, shopping and live music at L’Armoire women’s boutique in New Canaan, CT, helped raise $9,000 for Puppies Behind Bars. Baldanza Organic Café and New Canaan Wine Merchants provided refreshments. “By hosting a cocktail for our work, L’Armoire has reminded us once again of the long-term consequences, and responsibilities, of war,” said Gloria Gilbert Stoga, founder and president of Puppies Behind Bars. The organization trains inmates to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans and explosive-detection canines for law enforcement.
