Puttin’ On The Dog Helps Man’s Best Friends—And Cats, Too!

Pick of the Litter, Pooch Who Can Smooch and Best Tail Wagger were among the many awards garnered by beloved pets at the 29th annual Puttin’ on the Dog & Cats Too Festival, held September 18 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, CT. The weather held out for the annual parade and contest event that drew 35 vendors and allowed dog and cat lovers to show off their furry friends’ best features and cutest costumes. The festival drew 3,500 people and raised more than $100,000 for Adopt-A-Dog, a charitable organization whose mission is to save, socialize and secure loving homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs in the tri-state area. The festival always serves the dual purpose of an adoption event for multiple shelters in the area and this year a record six dogs received adoption applications!
