Tails Wag at 31st Annual Puttin’ On the Dog

adopt a dog event

It was a gorgeous day for the 31st Annual Puttinโ€™ On The Dog this year. Thousands of pet lovers and their furry friends came to Roger Sherman Baldwin Park for a day filled with dogs, cats, vendors, canine demonstrations, food trucks and more. The guests strolled around the park, waiting for their favorite events to begin. The first event of the day was the Adopt-A-Dog Parade, showcasing the adoptable dogs. After that guests had the chance to watch demonstrations from the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, K9 Units from the surrounding area and Port Chester Obedience. Throughout the day Adopt-A-Dogโ€™s adoptable dogs walked around the festival, greeting guests with tail wags and kisses.

Adopt-A-Dogโ€™s Mission is to Save, Socialize and Secure loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs. The money raised at Puttinโ€™ On The Dog helps them continue to carry out that mission and provide the highest standard of care for the dogs in need with a particular focus on ensuring that all aspects of their overall health and well-being are addressed.
