The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Golf Tournament & Luncheon was held on September 26, 2017 at the Fairview Country Club, to raise awareness and funds for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Event highlights included silent and live auctions, a Beat the Pro hole, a Hole in One contest and more. House of Flowers in Mamaroneck created center pieces featuring the 50th Anniversary logo of the Foundation. Bridgewater Chocolate provided beautiful chocolate gift boxes for attendees who contributed additional funds in honor of the Foundation’s 50th year. Bruce Murray of Sirius XM entertained the crowd as event emcee and auctioneer.
This year’s honorees included Amy and Adam Leibner of Chappaqua, NY and Joey Silberfein of Scarsdale. Jonathan Dulman, chair of the event said, “What an incredible turnout we had this year…and gorgeous weather to boot! We remain very humbled by the continued generosity of our sponsors and participants each year, which not only helps make this one of our chapter’s key fundraising events but also greatly helps us in our goal of raising funds to one day find a cure.”
Over the past 50 years, the Foundation has been the largest funder of research for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis besides the National Institute of Health. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation has been a part of every major breakthrough in research in this field, with a mission aimed at curing Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
