Westchester Land Trust’s Annual Fete Brings New Supporters To The Organization

More than 300 guests gathered at Sunnyfield Farm in Bedford, NY, on June 18th for Our Land Is Your Land, the 2016 Annual Benefit to raise funds and awareness for Westchester Land Trust. Notably, 75 new supporters attended, bringing new energy to the work WLT does with public and private partners, not only to preserve land but also protect our community’s natural resources. Rustic tablescapes by Dana Worlock of Hedgerow in Pound Ridge were paired with place settings by La Maison Fete of Bedford and custom lighting by Luminous Designs in Farmingdale. David Pakman, a popular area DJ, and Bedford-born auctioneer Cutler Whitman provided plenty of entertainment. Auction items ran the gamut from Adele tickets to a 5-night luxury beach vacation in St. Maarten. Vivien G. Malloy, who has served on the organization’s board since 2010, was honored with the 2016 Preservation Angel Award. The 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Paul Zofnass and Renée Ring, who, along with their family, have spent the past decade creating a 150-acre public preserve behind their home.
