Cúrate’s Homemade Charcuterie

When Yelp! made Asheville, NC, their No. 1 U.S. food city in 2022, one of the restaurants that first put the artsy and creative Southern city on the map was Cúrate. CEO and Co-Founder Katie Button and her husband and business partner Felix Meana bring the flavors of Spain to this hip city nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. “Cúrate, like our other restaurant, La Bodega, is personal and tells the story that only the two of us can share,” says Button.

“We have created a little slice of our world and combined it with the story of our time living and working in Spain.” For 2023, they are reintroducing their Spanish-cured characturie (priced à la carte), including sobrasada, “a spreadable chorizo-like butter that’s smoky, sweet, tangy and delicious,” Button explains. “At La Bodega, we stuff it inside a croissant and it’s magical. (Bonus: Through Cúrate at Home you can order their characuturie on their website, too!)
