The Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester

The Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester sets a high standard for hotels in the Westchester and Fairfield area. The property has 146 guest rooms including 38 executive suites, plus an award-wining spa, a rooftop pool, state of the art fitness center, and an on-site restaurant called the Lounge.

The spa is big draw for wedding parties, girlfriend getaways, bachelorette soirées and couples retreats. There’s 10,000-square-feet of space with 11 treatment rooms and a nail salon that does manicure and pedicures. The spa attracts a large clientele from New York City who wish to escape the bustle of the city as well as those who live in the Tristate area.

The spa has a dry sauna, steam room, Japanese soaking tubs and rooftop indoor heated pool. ESPA products are used and one one of the signature menu items is the Fall Equinox treatment which is a 90 minute package including dry skin brushing, warm marine wrap and hot stone massage. There are a variety of massages offered including deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone, couples massage and stress-relief massage. There are also a variety of facials including the popular age-defying facial, ultimate radiance and renewal facial and the custom facial. There are also a variety of men’s treatments including the men’s facial and the power hour treatment.

For a romantic spa weekend or girl’s getaway, contact the spa about arranging for chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and other touches customized touches. Be sure to take advantage of the roof-top pool—a greats spot to go for relaxation as well as amazing views. The spa lounge has a variety of teas, snacks and fresh fruit available.

The Lounge restaurant, located on the lobby,  is a great meeting place for groups as well as couples. The menu is diverse and includes Horseradish Crusted Salmon, Pan Seared Red Snapper, Bacon Marmalade Scallops, Gorgonzola Crusted Filet as well as pasta dishes, salads and scrumptious desserts. Popular starts include Local Artisanal Cheese Plate Lavender Honey served with jam fruits and house made seasonal jam as well as Kobe Beef Sliders served with balsamic onions, gouda, rosemary aioli, fried pickles, pretzel bun. Popular dishes include the Tuna Tartare with avocado and ginger soy dressing and the “Lost in the Valley” Market Salad which has market greens, quinoa, shaved carrots, rainbow radishes, cucumber, peaches and lemon Dijon vinaigrette. Be sure to leave room for desserts including the Island Sundae which has mango sorbet, guava and coconut ice cream, banana mango salsa, kiwi and guava sauces. The Ritz Carlton Cake  is a big winner with dark Valrhona chocolate, Grand Marnier, and a shot of Baileys Irish Cream.
