“We’ve been friends since the second grade at Brunswick School [in Greenwich, CT], and since as long as we could remember, we have collaborated on everything,” says Greg Oshins of his longtime friendship with chef Geoff Lazlo. They have now come together again to run Geoff Lazlo Food and its specialty food store, The Country Table in Greenwich.
Each bring different skills to their new venture. Oshins’s background is in commercial real estate and Lazlo has honed his craft at renowned restaurants like Chez Panisse and Gramercy Tavern (as sous chef). Most recently, he was owner and executive chef at Mill Street Bar & Table in Byram, CT.
The County Table offers a range of prepared and made-to-order foods from gourmet sandwiches to salads, coffee and ice cream. “We love how great food brings everyone together, and we designed our store to be a place
where friends and families could gather and have a great time,” says Lazlo. “We also want to make everyone’s favorite foods wholesome and delicious. When our clients order our made-in- house items, we want their experience to be a memorable one.”
