Pop Culture Cake with The Poppery

Serendipity Must Have

The Poppery came from my love of being creative and my desire to use my background in art in a unique and fun way,” says owner Alexa Esposito of the bakery she founded in 2017. “I started out making custom cake pops ($3.50 and up each) for friends and family at their various events, and never dreamed that it would one day turn into the business that it has!” And those cake pops truly are works of art. Think pops shaped like sushi, the Beatles and cute jungle animals in flavors like funfetti, red velvet, churro, and chocolate chip. “We have made a wide variety of cake pops, from your favorite cartoon characters to elegant wedding favors,” says Esposito, whose brick-and-mortar shop opened in 2019.

And while the pops are super popular, the bakery has lots more on offer, including custom cakes. “We also provide other treats such as macarons, sugar cookies, sugar cookie tarts and cupcakes that partner well with our custom dessert table packages,” she says. In store, you’ll find 10 flavors of mochi, celebratory add-ons like candles, cards and sprinkles, and a selection of cakes coming soon.
