Ingredients
For the Butterfly Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ teaspoon blue butterfly powder
For the Margarita:
- 3 ounces tequila blanco
- .75 ounces triple sec
- 1 ounce lime juice
Directions
For the butterfly simple syrup:
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved and simmer for one minute.
- Allow to cool.
- Once cooled, combine the simple syrup with the butterfly powder until smooth.
For the Margarita:
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, triple sec and lime juice and simple syrup.
- Shake until combined and chilled.
- Garnish with a lime if desired.
