Clare Galterio and David Terhune’s Yonkers Wedding

Galterio

August 27, 2016, Yonkers, NY
“All three of my sisters married in the same church and had their reception at Empire City Casino in Yonkers, NY,” says Clare Galterio. “Our parents got married there as well.” So it wasn’t surprising that Clare did the same. However, while she knew there were certain  family traditions she wanted to repeat, there were other elements she wanted to be uniquely her own. “My sister Cara and I got married less than a year apart, so I wanted it to be a different experience for our guests.” Clare had snow cones at cocktail hour, but included in the family tradition of candy bars at the afterparty. “All of us are such candy freaks. Plus, the Galterios are known for loving a great party, small the weddings went ’til at least 4 a.m. We all had afterparties and second afterparties!” Her dress was Ann Barge, which was the same designer her sister Molly sed, but the actual dress was quite different. “I had a beautiful tulle Oscar de La Renta skirt that went over my dress with a mermaid-shaped look  underneath.” Her first song was a mix of Phillip Philip’s Gone Gone Gone and On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons. The latter was her sister Cara’s song. The couple danced well into the night, surrounded by their close-knit family.
