Heather Kudlach and Matt Godsell knew they wanted to get married in Greenwich, CT; it was the perfect location for both of their families (from New York and New Jersey). “I will never forget that moment when my dad walked me out to my future husband,” says Heather. The couple, who met at a ski house back in 2012, held their reception at the the Burning Tree Country Club. “Once Matthew and I visited, we fell in love with the scenery and the décor of the club,” says Heather. “It’s the ideal indoor-outdoor setting we were looking for.” Their first dance was to the 1991 recording of the classic standard tune Unforgettable featuring Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole in front of their 190 guests and their bridal party of 12. People dined on filet mignon with bordelaise sauce and grilled Atlantic salmon with romesco sauce. Dessert was given special attention, with pastries, fruit, cookies, an ice cream station with multiple toppings and a s’mores station (plus cake!). But Heather says it was the guests that made the day. “Having so many special people in your life come together on one day to celebrate your love is an indescribable experience,” says Heather. “I love Matt with every ounce of my being; he makes an ordinary moment seem magical and we are each other’s best friend.”
