Cap Ferret, France
The bride and groom, who met on a ski trip to Vermont in 2008, fell in love with the sleepy fishing town of Cap Ferret, France, while on vacation and then returned with 50 friends and relatives for their June 23, 2012, nuptials. Daniel, who grew up in Rowayton, CT, and attended New Canaan High School in New Canaan, CT, and Jessie, originally from Lake Forest, IL, orchestrated an idyllic weekend of bicycling and sipping local wine before
the waterfront ceremony. Daniel and Jessie reside in Manhattan.

The bride, in a Monique Lhuillier gown from The Plumed Serpent in Westport, CT, arrived at the ceremony in a Jeep Wagoneer owned by Cyril, the hotel’s proprietor. The couple later named their French bulldog Cyril in his honor.

Guests enjoyed decadent desserts after a dinner that included honey-roasted duck with potato galette or roasted white fish over risotto.
