Celebrate Earth Day

Newtown Middle School, in partnership with Audubon Connecticut, is celebrating Mother Earth with music, food and everyone’s favorite birds of prey. The party is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but get there at 9 a.m. for the “Lose the Litter” event, where volunteers help clean up Newtown’s streets and tackle the trash. Free, 11 Queen St., Newtown, CT,
